Description
In AFTER SUPPER two girls set up a telephone booth outside the general store. This switchboard is really the old-fashioned system with two cans and a string that a lot of kids did before the days of the cell phone.
“I don’t know how it worked but it just did. I think you could have stretched the string one hundred miles and still have heard the whispered secrets of your friend on the other end. Better than a ‘Party-Line’ telephone and you made it yourself.” – Bob Byerley
